I run Mindsense, a creative bootstrapped software engineering studio where we build the email app Mail Pilot, which became the #1 paid app in the entire Mac App Store within hours of its debut, and more recently, Throttle, a service that gives all-new levels of control over your inbox and email address. We also published Maximize Your Crowd, an ebook about how to succeed on Kickstarter, drawing from our own experience.
The community in Southwest Virginia is filled with incredible people, organizations, and events. I get to serve on the steering committee for Make a Mark Roanoke - Blacksburg, the Board of Directors for Feed by Seed, the Board of Directors for the Roanoke - Blacksburg Technology Council, and, since helping to start the event in 2011, the steering committee for TEDxVirginiaTech.
